wykikitoon 20811
Taken From Sky Sports Here Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan wants relegation rivals West Ham United to be docked points, if found guilty of breaching Premier League regulations. Both West Ham and Portsmouth could have a case to answer after Premier League officials reportedly sent letters out to all 20 top-flight clubs reminding them of rule U18. The regulation prevents clubs from signing players owned by a third party who could have the 'ability materially to influence a club's policies or the performance of its teams'. In West Ham's case, Argentinian duo Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez are owned by MSI, while Manuel Fernandes, who played for Portsmouth on loan in the first half of the season, is partly owned by a third party. Chairman and chief executives of all 20 Premier League clubs will meet in London on Thursday when the issue is expected to be discussed. An investigation could then be launched by the Premier League and any breach in rules could lead to guilty clubs being docked points. And Whelan, whose Wigan side are five points clear of 18th placed West Ham, has called on any offending clubs to be punished. Whelan told the Daily Mail: "If anyone has broken the rules they should have points deducted." Never liked the bloke, the greedy pie eating wanking. Hope he has to pay £10m out for the price fixing the old shite!

Guest alex
West Ham haven't been found guilty yet. And I'm not sure the precedence has been set imo as non league sides always seem to be dealt with more strictly for this sort of thing.

Aye true, although I am sure if they are guilty and do get docked points they will blame it on Tevez and Mascarano and they will also be blamed why they got relegated by the WH "fans"
Gemmill 46093
The mackems' points record would be in threat if this happened, surely? Although Pardew not picking them all that often will help. How many league appearances have they made this season.

The Fish 10972
a housemate is an AFC Wimbledon fan and he is fucking seething. we're officially not allowed to take the piss. Surely you already have grounds for taking the piss anyway. Have they actually got any points when either of these have played btw? I think 18 points (or how ever much) is a bit harsh when you look at the punishment meted out on the Italian sides for actually cheating, instead of just having an inept administration team. P.S. we don't really take the piss for him being an AFC Fan, because the other football fans in the house are Newcastle and Aston Villa followers... we've hardly got a leg to stand on. Albert Kirkey 0
I don't think anything will happen eventually. The League didn't seem to make anyone aware of this until a couple of weeks ago, clubs' lawyers will have no problem exploiting that to make sure they're not punished. Surprised Whelan is talking about this today as well. I'd have thought as the loudest proudest Englishman in the history of the world, he'd be campaigning for McLaren and the whole of the England squad to be sent to the Tower. I hated the old Wimbledon, so no But they propelled Vinny Jones into the Limelight! I never really had a problem with Wimbledon, sure they were rough and dirty, but their talentless team was too comedic to be truly offesinve. now if this happened to Blackburn or Everton I think I'd be as unsympathetic. Aye. There was a mint premiership years on a bit since, with a running joke about how much Fash was caning in for scoring goals, and Sam Haman writing abusive grafiti on the changing room walls. Nutters.
