Don't understand the slating he gets on here. 21591[/snapback] We're supposed to be improving and looking to challenge the top 4 and the top 6 minimum, he isn't of that standard so isn't a player we should be considering. A young striker who people maybe don't yet rate highly as say our 4th choice is fine, but they will get better, he won't.

That Shearer and Shola can't outscore him is worrying.

His goals will dry up. How many did he score in the top-flight last season, or the previous seasons to that? BTW Dickov isn't a bad player, he's an OK Premiership striker, similar to a Marcus Bent. Not exactly brilliant but good enough to do a job if called on.
TheInspiration 1
Call me stupid if you will, but is Marcus Bent related to Darren? Both played for Ipswich, along with many other Premiership players now.

Would not cost the world and could do a job here..

Guest Sima
Owen is not a striker to play in this 4-3-3 formation, he's better with a partner. He hasn't got the presence to be either a lone striker or a man in the middle of 2 others.
