Glasgow Mag 0
Can we now class these two as 'goal-scoring midfielders'? Or is such a term reserved for the likes of Lampard and Scholes who have been doing it year-in, year-out for some years now? Just wondering. Gemmill 46097
Bit premature for both of them tbh.
Guest Patrokles
Dyer doesn't really score his goals from midfield so much, either.

Dr Gloom 22187
aye, i like dyer playing off a front man. and it's a positio he needs to score goals from. there's even been rumours that he might play there in the next england friendly. tinofbeans 91
defo his best position is as the old inside forward, fuck knows why he always used to think centremid was his best place. showing reasonably good form atm, but right mid/ wing or inside forward would be his best place. Because he doesn't like playing wide or with his back to goal. Not sure you'll ever get the best out of him in a conventional 4-4-2. Not sure he's good enough for a luxury roaming role © manc-mag either.
tinofbeans 91
true enough, would work wonders in a diamond formation in the middle as well, as the forward looking point of the diamond.
Gemmill 46097
I'm a big fan of Dyer. Pleased to see him doing well and seemingly over his injury problems. *JINX ALERT*

To be fair, that's not as bad as you might be trying to portray That's better than a goal in every 5 games. That 159 games also includes seasons where he scored 2 goals in 30 games. Don't have the stats to hand, but wonder how many goals he's got in his last 40-50 games? Might tell a different story.
luckyluke 2
Well in 14 games this season he's scored 5 goals, which is better than 1 in 3.

Steven Gerrard has 59 goals in 324 appearances for Liverpool, would you say he was a goalscoring midfielder? BTW where did you get those stats from? they don't look right to me.
