For instance, the Charver ratio on the 1 is much lower than the 62/63. Mind you the drivers on the 1 seem to think that double decker buses are rally cars. The way they hurtle through Heaton, taking tight corners (for buses) whilst barely slowing down takes the piss at times. The buses have gone downhill ever since the PTE stopped running them. They were all integrated then. And they were Yellow (the traditional bus colour in Newcastle) rather than the same Stagecoach livery that the buses in most British cities have.
