Anyone see that dopey kid on GMTV this morning. Got belted off some lads or something and apparently the police response has been appalling - the kid's mother actually obtained the CCTV footage and sent it to the police, and they STILL haven't responded to her.

Anyway, they interviewed the kid (early teens) and he was giving it "I reckon my mam's better than t'police. She went out and found t'edivence and the police still ent found no edivence."

Mongtastic.

GMTV is just a piss-take though isn't it? Probably more to this than meets the eye too.

Got any edivence to back that statement up?

Watching GMTV in the past is evidence enough tbh.

After coming home on a bus full of school kids the other day, i was left thinking, my god, how incredibly dense they all are! ;) It wasnt just the drivel they were talking about but they way they spoke, it seems to be the culture amongst teenagers now to sound as 'fick' as shite!

Probably but the police are shocking these days, some of it their fault, some of it the systems fault.

But basically unless someone dies or one of the really horrendous crimes of the 21st PCer than thou century (like someone being offended over nothing or using potentially racist language - like calling their black and white dog "Blackie" - expect a swat team response) then they really just aren't interested.

Even had a couple of young lads smash into my car once and drive off (they were doing laps of the block doing handbrake turns apparently I came along and they misjudged one), got the number plate and 3 bystanders as witness happy to testify, police didn't even bother turning up just gave me a crime number and said "there's probably nothing we can do anyway...." wtf? ;)

The police were round within the hour when I reported my laptop had been stolen, even though I only noticed it was gone the day after. :P

Only on the off chance you hadn't lost it and then they could check if there was child porn on it and boost their arrest rate. ;)

In all honest I don't know what on earth you did to get an hour response time to that (your second name isn't Blair is it? :P), my father in law had to wait for more than an hour for an ambulance after a massive stroke a few weeks ago, the usual response time from the police for a small theft is from 24 hours to never.
