Makes no difference to me whatsoever. I just disagree with it that's all, and i'm expressing an opinion. That okay?

Disagreeing with it seems hypocritical, seen as the rules were bent for us, no?

When were the rules bent for us?

Roeder - Yeah, cheers for that one, and all.

Thinking about it, I think we may have found a loophole with Boumsong, to the effect that because he'd signed the contract 6 months prior to signing for Rangers, we could technically sign him a year later?

Anyway, isn't a player getting this dispensation from FIFA every other week?

Slight difference being that we had to get a majority vote from the chairman of our rival Premiership clubs, Mascherano seems to have been given the nod without anyone else having a say.

Similar to Luque he's a player that just isn't up to the high tempo of Premiership football, it didn't help him West Ham playing a 4-4-2 formation which he's never really impressed in, playing the Makelele role in a 4-5-1 formation is his prefered position and since Liverpool don't play that way either I expect him to struggle there too.

He'll be a much better player at Liverpool than he was at West Ham. That is a certainty.

Don't see what difference it made who makes the decisions, the rules were still bent for us, probably on a far more important matter as the manager's job is more important than one player.

Aye, he'd signed a pre-contract in Jan iirc. You're right though, it's a daft rule anyway due to all the dispensations. As for the Champions League thing, it was an exceptional circumstance, although not without precedence (Real Madrid).

It isn't 3 clubs anytime in a 12 month period, the rule is you can't play a competitive game for 3 different clubs between July 1st and June 30th.

No, the ruling's actually "Any vaguely plausible sounding excuse and he can play for as many clubs as he fancies within a 12 month period." Easy mistake to make, though.
