Jimbo 175
Right ! the situation is this, I can't get XP to install on this bloody PC, If I install XP straight from a format it does its own preformat but tells me there is an error and can't continue, I've ran diagnostic tools on the disc and they all say its fine, including the manufacturers tool. I can install Windows 98se with no problems, but if I try and upgrade 98se up to XP it gets about 90% and then gives me the bluescreen of death telling me its an UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLLUME. I'm tempted to try Linux on it instead, but I've a sneaky feeling that the hard drive isn't 100% correct but I got it from ebuyer and I can't be arsed with sending it away. Any ideas ?
