Guest Patrokles
http://www.astralwerks.com/8-bit/ I aquired it today. It's pretty interesting stuff. There are a number of bands who work exclusively with 8-bit consoles, SID chips, etc, to make their music. It's interesting to an extent because the chips are very limited in terms of their range and versatility- so to make anything worthwhile with them is an achievement. The early game music guys are legendary for that ability. Bit Shifter are maybe the best executors of 8-bit music nowadays. This compilation is a nice place to start for those who already like Kraftwerk.
