Guest Patrokles
I was in the kitchen and the blurb on the Evian bottle caught my eye; it talked of how unique and special Evian water is. I'm no expert on mineral water, but do the different types (volvic, evian, co-op own brand, etc) actually taste different to anyone? I'm almost curious enough to try the brands and compare. Almost. I reckon its bollocks. We used to tip this lads out of his bottle(s) in the house we shared an fill it with tap water. He never noticed. We were doing it for over a year. Meenzer 15909
I can tell the difference between mineral water brands, but only in the same way that tap water tastes different depending on where you are in the country. If it's ice cold (which is what it wants to be), it really doesn't matter one way or another.
Guest Patrokles
naive tbh says it all If you're referring to the initial post, then I don't see how it's naive. I was just curious as to whether anyone has noticed any difference in taste between the different brands of mineral water.

Isegrim 10056
We do have a vast range of different mineral waters down here who really taste different. That's why I can't understand people buying the likes of Evian etc. because just judging by the large number of bottles that are sold, I reckon it actually is tap water. FCUM 1
I know this sounds wierd but I couldn't really tell the difference between most mineral waters. However, put a drop in my malt whisky and I really can taste a difference
Jusoda Kid 1
I used to have one of them big water coolers in my bedroom. When i finished the five bottles of mineral water i had for it i used to top them up with tap water and when chilled you just couldn't tell the difference.
