He was initially forced to retire having tested HIV + but has had another test recently which has come up negative! He's 38 now like so his career is effectively over (I'm not sure he was ever really that good anyway tbh) but that's some turnaround in fortunes. There's a lawsuit in there somewhere. He retired at 26 with his best years ahead of him in theory so loss of earnings at hundreds of thousands of dollars per fight would be pretty huge. I think he did....which shows how seriously he was taking his boxing career tbh. Still pretty horrendous to live the best years of your life thinking you were HIV+ only to find out it was an error.
