I fucking love Indian. Mortified that the only one near me, perfectly between the pub and my flat, is a pile of shite. Anything out of there comes swimming in oil, and I mean swimming by Indian takeaway standards! Do have a PizzaHut dellivery near though, so it's all good <_<

They should definitely do proper Italian food as takeaway. Making seafood pasta for tea tonight..

And Greek and Turkish as well. Actually there is a place in Nottingham that does really nice proper kebabs to takeaway, it's a bit pricey though.

It's all upside down in Hamburg, the curries are shit and the Turkish and Greek stuff is lush.

It really is. I appreciate there isn't much of an Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi population in Germany, but it still surprises me that curry is seen as something of a "delicacy", so you get all these nicely decorated restaurants serving small-ish portions of delicately spiced stuff, rather than the quantity and flavour you get over here.

Now, a long evening at O-Feuer on the Schulterblatt with some tarama, tsatsiki, lamb souvlaki and far too much syrupy wine... that's more like it. <_<
