Sounds to me like frozen shoulder Cath, (adhesive capsulitis, for you picky people) The fact you didnt injure or strain yourself makes me think thats what it could be Are you diabetic? Anyway, i sincerely hope its not that, as you know theres not much that can be done and recovery can take a long time.

Poor you having to go into work tonight, its a sad state of affairs :D Hope you get a quiet night.

Cheers petal. I'm just avoiding doing any lifting or patient moving. There's nothing happening here at the moment but that doesn't say much. Really, really hope it's not a frozen shoulder or I'm fucked work-wise.

what about one of those heat sack things. I bought wor lad one for his "footballing" injuries. You just whack them in the microwave and dump it on offending part of the anatomy ??

Yeah, I might try and get hold of one tomorrow. I'm off for a few days after tonight so I shall try and find remedies.

Bringing them back would be my first action if I was health minister.

No help to you Catmag if it's a one off injury, but after going years suffering with joint pains (arthitic mainly) I've found taking Glucosamine really helps but you need to take 1500mg a day for a little while before it starts to take effect. I've also got a glucosamine gel which applies directly to the effected area and that seems to help.

If you have pulled something out of sync by lifting at work there used to be a cracking bloke out at Corbridge called Melrose (he was an orthopeadic surgeon who went into private practice) but he may be retired now. I used to visit quacks several times a year to get my back manipulated back into sync but two visits to him about 8 years ago cured it completely.

Thanks Mr Manc, I'll keep it in mind. If it doesn't start to improve over the next few days then I'll have a word with one of the orthopods and see what they think. If they suggest I need a massage off a pervy internet-browser then I'll give Laz a shout :D

They're good. I twisted my knee a couple of weeks ago and used one of them, it worked wonders.
