David Kelly 1280
I see he broke his leg last night! I never wish to see players pick up bad injuries but I have to say it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke

Gemmill 47121
Turd of a man. Hard lines when any footballer breaks their leg like, but it's very difficult to have any sympathy for him.

David Kelly 1280
It's also good news for us as he has apparently been playing well for Blackburn recently so it may rock them a bit.
geordieshandy 0
Twas, well, quite funny, when he tried to stand on it and you saw it buckle at the point of fracture and he went down like a sack of shit. You have to wonder about the conversation between the physio and Savage. "I think it could be broken" "Nonsense, I'll just run it off" "Well, try and stand up then" "OK, watch this.....ah bollocks"

That doesn't sound particularly hilarious! Having said that I do know what it feels like and it isn't particularly funny, but it was the fact that he obviously thought he'd be able to stand on it when the physio must surely have realised fairly quickly that it was completely crocked. Renton 22437
He may be a twat but some of the sentiments on here are just plain wrong. Personally, I don't understand the pathological hate for him though. He's a good to average player who happens to be Welsh and has a taste for bling. Hardly a capital offence and in my book he is not as obnoxious as Bellamy.

I think the hatred comes from the way he will go over the top in challenges and then go down holding his face and all that malarkey. I think he's a better player than he's given credit for, but his reputation as a figure of hate is well deserved. I'm not happy he's broken his leg or anything, but I'm not wasting any time feeling sorry for him.

Yeah, he's made a career of going out and tryign to do other players combined with then hitting the deck like a tart to get people sent off. Theres plenty of times he could have injured fellow proffesionals, so when it happens to him its tough shit. Theres also various other things he's done to earn the hatred like taking the piss out of players who had just been relegated and the like, i seem to remember with that one that Niall Quinn (who was commentating or analysing the game) had a right go at the little prick.
