Guest alex
The Man Whose Teeth Were All Exactly Alike - Philip K. Dick. Just about two-thirds of the way through this. I've read a few of his non-sci-fi novels now and he really should be up there with the likes of Richard Yates and Sinclair Lewis as someone able to capture the darker side of the American dream. Top stuff. Can't believe he was living on pet food. He was fucking nuts to be fair.
Meenzer 15731
http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-Escaped-My-Cer...1541&sr=8-1 Not bad at all. Self-indulgent as owt, but you wouldn't read a Stewart Lee book in the first place if you weren't up for a bit of that.

Just two of them. I'd read Catch 22 already and have since read Manufacturing consent. I'll add it to my wishlist and probably get it for christmas, I'm not buying books with the pile I've got. I feel bad for having still not read Slaughterhouse Five too.

Well, now you mention it me and Mrs Jimbo are headed to Dallas at the weekend to visit Dealy plaza and the school book depository, it's set up exactly as it was on the day of the shooting, so accurately it doesn't even have a Lee Harvey Oswald at the window. You'll have to check the Bill Hicks classic about not allowing you right to the window because it would take two seconds to say "no fucking way". donaldstott 0
Been reading 31 songs by Nick Hornby. Quite nice, bedtime reading. Split in to very manageable chunks, so I don't fall asleep mid-chapter.
