@yourservice 67
It is against the law in many countries to reproduce copyrighted material. Some countries' laws only allow you to make a limited number of backup copies of any software or media for personal and archival purposes. You also acknowledge that you are the sole "Owner" of all copyrighted material that might be reproduced. In no way this site and its affiliates are held responsible for any violation or potential violations of copyright infringement that you may perform. I think you need to keep the original to make a Backup copy Call the cops!! Edited January 18, 2007 by @yourservice
No Quarter 0
In the UK, any copying of the original media for ANY reason is currently illegal. This includes MP3 ripping, DVD ripping, taping sky+ onto DVDs (to be watched more than once) and mix-tapes whether you still own the original DVD/CD or not. Of course, if it's for personal non-profit use you can be sure you won't get in any trouble. The government commissioned a report a year or so ago and the results came back a few months ago advising that they make it legal, which they have promised to look into. http://www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page10776.asp http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipod-itunes/news...=allchandate%20 http://www.engadget.com/2006/05/12/bpi-may...s-right-to-rip/
