Haven't got it yet Tom, hopefully will be delivered Friday or next Tuesday so I'll let you know then.

I always wanted a Fender VI bass:

Robert Smith used one on pornography and seventeen seconds but they are hard to find now, expensive and the bridge is fragile (similar to jags and jazzmasters but trying to cope with heavier strings.)

The advantage of the baritone is the fixed bridge and the humbucker pick ups but the sound should be similar to the Bass VI.

Is it worth getting a normal jag, most definitely.

When I was gigging regularly I had gibsons, rickenbackers, japanese brand guitars, even a vox teardrop and as amazing as some of the guitars were the best guitar I owned, sound and playing wise, was a beat up late 60s jag (not even a pre-CBS which are what people rave about). Black with black pickguards, covered in stickers (decals) cool as shit. It was strung with a .65 bass string for the E string (wish I never sold it now).

If you want a warmer sounds buy a jazzmaster - same guitar but with the fender twin coil pick-ups.

Thinking of getting Virtual Tennis 3 with the credit I have left after trading in some games, however it does not have on-line play.

Is thsi for the PS3? I've got it for the 360 and it does.

Ah right yeh cool.

My original budget was £1500,

But theres no way id spend that on a jaguar,

i was thinking of getting another Les Paul,

perhaps a cheap custom, junior or a different classic (p.90's/h.90's)

But i think im gonna settle for a Jaguar or Jazzmaster,

Probably a Jazzmaster if they are warmer though :D:

Does it come with a hardcase?

im a fan of the esps but ibanez are pretty cool too, the rg 7string is shit hot

i played an Ibanez JS signiture and that was a nice guitar,

I only really like the sound of the neck pickup though and i rarely pick up an Ibanez where the floyd rose is set up properly!

Im not keen on seven strings tbh, they are a crime!

Is the 7th string a B?

If you want a 7 string check out this classic (actually check out the whole site - tom you check out the site, 2bias you the guitar).

Tom, no it doesn't come with a hard case, which I'm pissed about so I'll have to sort something there but I did get it at the bargain price of $1200 australian pesos (that's about 500 quid).

For £1500 I could get you an excellent pre-cbs jag for that here and if you go to the states you'd probably have change and it would be mint.

Yeah no-online play for the PS3.

Got it anyways, seems quite fun so far. The minigames should be quite good for when mates are round.

The woman is better than me though. :D
