Andrew 4757
Bought an original vinyl copy of Dark Side of the Moon since it turned 50 this month and despite it being probably my favourite album of all time I've never actually owned a copy of it myself.
Monkeys Fist 42458
When I moved in to Fist Hall, I found a box of old vinyl in the attic. Most of it was absolute shite, but there was a pristine 1967/68 2nd pressing of Sgt. Peppers, with all the cutout cards and everything. I asked the previous owner if they wanted it but they weren’t bothered. This also came with Mrs. Fist as part of her dowry

Really like the cover with the "concept art" version of the final design on it.

Getting DSotM was more of a "I really should own this" thing than any real desire to have more vinyl or anything.

Growing up, loads of my mates were into Pink Floyd. But I never really got them. The exception to that is Dark Side of the Moon. Quality from start to finish

strawb 4259
I’ve got a load of old vinyls by the cure, I was dead into them when I was younger. Don’t think I even have a record player anymore. Happy to send them to someone if anyone wants them?

The exception to that is Dark Side of the Moon. Quality from start to finish That's a bit surprising tbh because being a stoner and liking Pink Floyd was practically de rigueur I would have thought. Not just DSotM, although that is the ultimate, but loads of stuff from that period. Wish you were here is still one of my favourites. I remember listeing to shne on you crazy diamond on a loop, and I could never tell if it was "like black holes in the sky" or "black like holes in the sky" under my canabinoid stupor. Now with the benefits of the internet, I can see it's the former although I still prefer the latter. I'm putting this on now as my nostalgia fix for the day. 🎵Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun Shine on you crazy diamond Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky Shine on you crazy diamond🎶
Renton 21627
Just listening to "Time" there. These verses are fucking brilliant, nail on the head stuff. Not cheering me up much though. Quote And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say Edited March 30, 2023 by Renton 1

Dr Gloom 21924
i made the mistake of listening to this album in a friend's small bedroom, all off our nut on shrooms aged about 15, with his parents sitting downstairs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHrqGy1K3aM it didn't end well Edited March 30, 2023 by Dr Gloom
