Gemmill 47084
Better get your tickets bought sharpish Sammy (I realise this is an alien concept to you - actually ringing a box office in advance of an event but they're selling out quick I think ). Tooj 17
Only ever saw one comedy live like which was The Mighty Boosh at the City Hall. Absolutely fantastic like.
The Mighty Hog 536
I saw the two he did that were taped for TV/DVD, they were ok. Not worthy of the mass fawning that seemed to be going on. Edited January 16, 2007 by The Mighty Hog
Gemmill 47084
Better than Peter Kay tbh. Now THAT was mass fawning.

manc-mag 1
Better than Peter Kay tbh. Now THAT was mass fawning. Mass fawning for sure, but I think it was probably more deserving on balance for his stand-up. Both brilliant for their TV series' mind.

I think I just prefer comedians who are a bit nastier. Kay's very inoffensive - the fact that I could lend my mam one of his DVDs is a bad thing imo. The Mighty Hog 536
It was better than Kay's stand up. But then I wasn't a massive fan of that either. I'm not really up on stand-up and live shows so I wouldn't like to say who is better than those two.

Ally 0
I absolutely love Ricky Gervais but can't really afford to go, my overdraft is on the last pennies. Bet its class though.
Ted Maul 0
I used to love Gervais but now he's getting right on my tits. He's starting to get so far up his own arse it's unbelievable. What makes it even worse is that Merchant seems more genuinely funny than Gervais does and I wouldn't be suprised if he wrote some of Gervais' material. I know the Office was written by both of them, but I wonder how much Merchant actually put in to it. Barely gets any credit for the best program of all time.
