Tooj 17
Just managed to buy some goat meat. I've never had it before and every time I hear it recommended is in a curry of some form. Does anybody have a good recipe for curried goat meat? If I get no answers from here then Papisto is getting a tweet.
catmag 337
I don't have a recipe but I'm sure Google probably has A Nigerian co-worker of mine eats curried goat daily and it looks and smells horrific All I know about goat is that you have to cook it really slowly or it ends up dry and tough. Meenzer 15718
Aye, "cook it slowly" is about all I've got, too. I could go and ask at one of the many takeaways around here that serve curried goat, but since they never seem to have any customers yet mysteriously remain in business, something tells me they know as much about cooking goat as I do. ChezGiven 0
I watched that Men who Stare at Goats film the other day. No recipes in it though. Madhur Jaffrey's book has a chapter / essay on goat iirc.
Gemmill 46030
Isn't it basically very low quality meat for the very poor? If so, don't buy it again.
Brock Manson 0
http://uktv.co.uk/fo...cipe/aid/636225 Levi Roots' curry goat recipe is decent. Have done it with lamb as goat is hard to come by here. I didn't have allspice berries though so used about 1/2 tsp of ground allspice. I'm not the biggest fan of allspice so 10 berries seemed a bit too much for me. (Needs more seasoning though as not as tasty as lamb). Only italian recipes though

Christmas Tree 4827
It's based on this recipe http://step-by-step-cook.co.uk/mains/chili_con_carne/ With cumin, marjoram and paprika thrown in. Should end up looking a bit like this.

Christmas Tree 4827
Very common actually and ideal if you detest kidney beans, which a lot of people do.
