No butter though so off to Asda :gay:

sounds lush. it's 25 degrees in lausanne though so it's salad for me tonight. i'd like what you're having on a cold winter's night mind.

Trying to be good for the next few days because Thursday and Friday are going to be pig-out central, so it's grilled fish with an olive oil/chilli/garlic/lemon drizzle tonight. With brown rice and salad. :gay:

Aye, but I really fancy mince and dumplings now :gay:

Tbf, it smells lovelyleeeeeeeee. :icon_lol:

Never made dumplings before and thinking they look too sticky but we shall see.

Knackered and not liking this house work lark. Thought it was all loose women and painting your nails. :)

Experimented a little with a veggie spag bowl.

Grated courgettes to use instead of carrots, finely minced green & black olives to replace quorn mince (because quorn is shite) and added healthy splashes of red wine and balsamic vinegar. Bit of soft brown sugar to balance it all out and it was superb.

Dumplings were a disaster.

I enjoyed them but family thought they were too herby.....??????

Just experiment and don't get too downtrodden. :gay:

I love mince & dumplings, although I couldn't imagine having them in June.

Familys been dragged up on that Atora dumpling mix.

Re Mince and dumplings in June, basically just test driving the new slow cooker but its still nice to have a good hearty meal whatever the season imo.

Excellent for their intended use, ie you can pop a load of ingredients in the thing on an evening and when you leave for work in the morning, flick it on and come home to a delicious hot meal waiting for you.

Our biggest hit today is Lamb Shanks. Chucked a couple in for 6 or 7 hours (I think) and they came out like the ones you pay a fortune for in a nice restaurant.

Cant fault it tbf. Get the whip cracked.

(The curry recipe that came with ours is like the fruity curry you (we) used to get at the beach on a tray of chips. Sultanas apples etc.
