Ugly Mackems 133 Posted February 10, 2010 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Ideas fellas? I've just made a big pan of veg soup. Trouble is the split peas are crunchy and not breaking down at all. Been on the hob 3 hrs now and still crunchy. Can see this going straight down the netty. Roast some cubes of it with a couple of sliced red onions and some garlic, stir it through pasta with some creme fraiche or similar - easy as you like and dead nice. A mild one would be lovely. Scroll back to page 18 where I've wrote out a very good curry recipe. You can make it as mild or as hot as you choose to make it.
