Monkeys Fist 43639
Eh? A whole, unpeeled turnip in the micro? Is it not then a right clart on to peel and chop a hot turnip?
Christmas Tree 4920
Eh? A whole, unpeeled turnip in the micro? Is it not then a right clart on to peel and chop a hot turnip? I was surprised too. Literally just lift the top off and scoop out beautifully soft tasty turnip. It's a winner!
Monkeys Fist 43639
Without getting into the mental image you've planted there, I'm intrigued. I'll give it a try next time I'm doing a roast.

Well worth it. No soggy boiled turnip just cooked in its own juices as God intended.

Brock Manson 0
Well worth it. No soggy boiled turnip just cooked in its own juices as God intended. Sounds rank. Microwaved turnip? Also, turnip should be nowhere near a roast. NOWHERE NEAR. Shame on you both.

Brock Manson 0
Not having carrot mashed either. The mrs' mum does a good sunday roast with the usual roasties, except then she adds a scoop of mash and a scoop of carrot suede mash. It's not right, it's just not right. Basically cut them nice and thin (it says using a mandolin but I only have an organ), bit of olive oil and whatever seasoning spices you fancy. I've chucked in a mixture of sea salt, black pepper and chilli flakes.

Christmas Tree 4920
*sigh* Use a potato pealer to make the crisps slices, place the slices on some baking paper/greaseproof salt & pepper microwave them for 3-5mins on high, keep an eye on them though pending on your microwaves power.. you're welcome Heads back to the kitchen!!!!
