Just knocked up some shortbread biscuits in no time at all with the bairn. Didnt realise how easy they were to make.

125g butter

55g caster sugar

180g plain flour

Bloody delicious.

Very healthy too.

I can vouch for Ant's recipe for shortbread. We also made his double choc chip ones at Christmas to give as very last minute presents and they were lush aswell.

Quite proud of myself. Was verrrrrry tempted to hoy a single-for-longer ready meal in the oven for tea but ended up making chicken breast wrapped in bacon, diced roast potatoes with garlic and onion and green beans. And it was delish :)

1/2 a courgette, 1/2 onion, 1/2 sweet potato, a Yellow pepper, 2 spring onions, bit of garlic, all chopped up

1 cooked chicken breast that had been used for fajitas and I was going to pop into a sarny, but never got eaten

tin of tomatoes

last slice of a loaf of bread and a bit of cheese grated up.

the tomatoes, courgette, onion, pepper and spring onions, garlic poured over the chicken and put in the oven on 180

boil the sweet potato, then add to the dish

cook it for 25 minutes, add the breadcrumbs and cheese

grill it for another 10

Properly warming, filling, empty-the-fridge-of-shit fare :D

I didn't eat it all either, before you slags start

I had a cheese fondu and Raclette last night, washed down with schnapps and a barrel of wine. Couldn't sleep as inwas too full and was farting a burping like a tramp all day today. Ordinarily it would have been fine but I spent the whole day in the same room with my team. Had to excuse myself about 10 times, the majority of which were just to unleash monster farts. I've seen 100 metre sprints go off quicker than these bad boys. On salads till the weekend :(

I'm feeling a tad lazy so it's just a simple sausage casserole tonight.

Caramelised some onions and then browned the sausages (Debbie & Andrews pork and apple ones - very good and you can get 'em in Asda. They even sent a thankyou email once after me mam emailed them to say how good they are).

Diced carrots and hoyed them in and now it's all bubbling away for an hour covered with 300ml of bisto (yeah, told you I was feeling lazy. Could've done beef stock and a roux I spose), red onion chutney, splash of mustard, powdered garlic, salt and pepper.

I've also got a new blender gadget that's meant to mash potatoes, so we'll see how it works out. :D
