 can somebody help CT out with an unspecified potato dish that he ate at a restaurant over the weekend please? Thanks.

Listen fuck chops, you were the one who recommended it and several others have been!!!!!

All there potato dishes are the same. Sliced and piled up.

dunno about you lot but as the cold weather comes in every meal has to be hot. morning muesli has walked for porridge. lunch time salads and wraps are to be replaced by soups and other hot dishes. comfort food all the way.

Got all the ingredients for a nice beef casserole in the slow cooker.

Any great reccomendations for the juice / stock part before I resort to the usual water and cube etc.

Raked the cupboards and just threw in what was left. :)

2 bay leaves

2 garlic cloves (sliced)

Good shake Thyme

Good splosh Worcester sauce

600 ml Water

1 oxo cube

1 x knorr chicken cube (all that was left)

2 x table spoons Tomato puree

100 ml red wine

Fingers Crossed it tastes ok or Mrs Tree will kick off at Tea Time.

All being served up in one of my speciality Yorkshire puds.

Bought the first box of cornflakes in years yesterday and tried this morning.

Definitely not the same as they used to make. Flakes are so light weight and plasticy. :(

Perhaps it's just that, in your mid-40s, you're finally developing an adult palate ;)

Made a lursh veggie tagine last night btw. Well, I made it on Sunday but ate it last night with some cous cous.

You found 100 ml red wine in the cupboard? Hmmm.

Not sure this random approach is best anyway. Why not add cheese?
