Never really rated him. Good organiser and motivator, that's about it really. Probbaly remembers one or two things about wingplay and the mf from the old days. ;)

In fairness it's probably best to wait till the end of the season ad see how things are.

I think O'Neill's done ok given the squad he inherited. I'd wait until about this time next season at least to properly assess how he's doing though.

Glenn Roeder inherited a team in such disaray that a clone of Morrinioh / Wenger and Ferguson couldnt have done any better. He couldnt ditch all of Shiteness`s duff signings in one go also consider our squad isnt getting any younger every so often a team has to rebuild. Roeder is now bringing through players from the acadamy and starting to repair the damage. Give him a couple of transfer windows and see where we are at the end of this year before you write him off.

As for O Leary he is probably in a similar position though the squad he inherited was probably better than ours at the time. If he has any regrets he has only himself to blame he had the chance to come to the best club in the land and turned it down.

On 5Live yesterday they were saying he wasn't going ot buy now but wait till summer - sounds as if they'd got it from him TBH

but the Villains I know are going ape - they don't fancy a relegation struggle any more than we would...........................

and lets face it MON is supposed to be able to walk on water

I know they've had a shocking run but they're only 3 points behind us on the same goal difference. And I doubt we'll be buying anyone either.

O'Neill is overhyped and overrated, the same as O'Leary was when he went to Villa. When he was at Leeds he was supposed to be one of the best new managers and talked about as a future ManU manager just like O'Neill

O'Neill (so far) has done a good job at every club he's been too. So that one difference between him and O'Leary straight away.

Curse of Deadly Doug IMHO

From what I heard they made some enquiries but were either rejected or told ridiculous prices with the clubs thinking Villa could afford them with their new billionaire. There still might be the chance of one or two players coming in but the consensus seems to be to give the winter transfer window a miss and "plan" the necessary overhaul of the squad for the summer.

Overall, he did a poor job at Leeds too tbh. He inherited a class young squad from George Graham and bought a load of shit for a load of wedge (generally). I'm not blaming him for the financial situation at Leeds btw, that's the (former) board's responsibility.

O'Leary is nothing but a smarmy pug faced bastard, I used to work with a Leeds supporter when he was manager of Leeds and told this guy that he was precisely that and the club were overspending due to being a micky mouse with sub 40,000 gates and would go crashing down as soon as it caught up with them.

Shocked at how soon it started mind, shame I don't see this bloke anymore. To top it off, he said Keegan was a quitter and anyone could have what he did with the money he had.

Tosser

Any different to what I've said to you about us overspending and how it could come crashing down?

Did he tell you their debt was 'manageable'?

Wish wed have got to the champions league semis tbh

maybe so, but teams have one off lucky cup runs all the time. And thats all it was. Shame O'Leary didn't match the team Keegan built, from a far lower start too.

No. Because they get shite support and were borrowing money to buy squad players as well as players for the first team.

He just said that the irish windbag was the bestest manager in the world and they had joined the top 4 clubs forever, blah blah blah
