Gemmill 47092 Posted January 12, 2007 Share Posted January 12, 2007 Let's not try and excuse what he's alleged to have done by saying things like "I wonder how many times he's been called a dirty Turk" or that it was heat of the moment - it was, but that doesn't excuse it ffs. If he has been called a dirty Turk, that's bad craic, but the lad is still a hot-tempered little fucking idiot at best, and unfortunately a racist at worst. A disappointing situation. I didn't excuse it, i said what i think is the reason he did it (if he did) which is his temper and not thinking, rather than being a massive racist and said either way he has to be punished if its proven. But theres a big difference between being a racist and being stupid and once he's served a ban (should he get one) it could well be important to his manager and his black collegaues which one he is! What he needs is for someone bigger than him to give him a fucking great big slap when he has one of his tantrums. He might stop acting himself. Not excusing anything Gemma and would never want to. In the bigger scheme of things this is probably little more than one ill judged and bad tempered comment. If the case if proven he should take a ban, but of course then the bandwagon will start and he will be labelled unfairly as a 'racist'. Which imo he isn't. If he isn't then he's about to learn the hard way the consequences of chucking the sort of temper tantrums he chucks on the pitch. Was Emre playing for Turkey at the most recent International at the Stadium of Shite (Qualifier) We hammered them from whistle to whistle and there were hundreds of supporters chanting "I'd rather be a paki than a Turk" I don't think there were any repercussions from the police or the FA at all. Abusive aggressive langauge happens 24/7 in football matches. I bet it wasn`t racsist. Fucking perfetic grasses in the Everton camp. I bet worse was said to Zidane through out the whole match that time he went mental. Even if it was racist ( not saying its right ) i know more offensive stuff is said during a match tbh. he just has the same sort of passion as Bellamy did but he is getting stick, so much for caring. I`m not 100% white and i`ve been called alot racist shit in my time and tbh it doesn`t bother me, some people need to get a life. I would rather be called racist stuff then someone use the your mother shite on me. It always makes me chuckle when white people go mental about this sort of thing like they know. It always sounds like they are just saying because its pc. Between players in an ill tempered match I think it should stay on the pitch.
