Was very good last year with Shaun Ryder, Doves, New Order, Marr, Mani, 808 State, Stephen Fretwell, Elbow and 9 Black Alps. Excellent moments throughout.

This year its Ian Brown, Charlatans, EATB and some to be confirmed.

Worth a visit if any you like that kind of stuff.

Forgot to say its on 30th March and tickets on sale this friday

Elbow should have a new album out around then (Brambles - http://www.sendspace.com/file/ucnul7, a new track if anyone is interested), so if they are playing this year there should be alot of newer stuff. Doves are writing aswell.

Should be interesting to see who they get - this is the e-mail I got:

Versus Cancer. MEN Arena, Manchester. 30th March 2007.

Tickets on sale on Friday

Oh yes, we’ve been away but we’ve been working hard. We’ve got a new look, a new concert and a chance

to get involved in a World Record attempt.

Okay here’s the most exciting bit, the line up:

Ian Brown

The Charlatans

Echo & The Bunnymen

More acts will be announced over the next few days and as you know, there are always lots of surprises!

We’ll keep you informed of all the latest – or you can log on to our new website: www.versuscancer.org.

There are also announcements through our media partners, XFM Manchester

(97.7FM or www.xfmmanchester.co.uk) and The Manchester Evening News (www.manchesteronline.co.uk).

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 12th Jan through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.co.uk)

and See Tickets (www.seetickets.com/see).

In the meantime, would you like to be a record breaker? Well come to Cathedral Gardens in Manchester

between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 13th January and join our very own Andy Rourke

for a World Record in Busking.

To kick off this year’s campaign we’re trying to get the most buskers as possible to play. You’ll get a free

Versus Cancer T-shirt and all you have to do is email busking@greatnorthernproducions.co.uk to register.

It’s all fun and games, at 3.30pm we’re all gathering in Cathedral Gardens to see if we’ve broken the record.
