Invicta_Toon 0
IIRC, after Shitness, the shortlist went something like this: MON - same points as us, out of cup Hitz - rejected top German job and national job PLG - walked after 6 months Allardyce - mr bungtastic Curbs - out of the frying pan did I miss anybody? MrBass 2831
Means diddly squat tbh. Had MON become our manager then who knows what he could have done with our squad, same goes for all the others.

Had MON become our manager then who knows what he could have done with our squad, same goes for all the others. We'd have been out of the cup too if we had Villa's draw. O'Neill's done OK considering what he inherited, although there's no doubt Villa are shakey in the Premiership lately.

Given we drew with Man Utd at home recently I don't see how you can say that for sure. We'd have given Man Utd a tough match up here I reckon. Renton 22615
I'd still take any of those mentioned over Roeder, including Le Guen.

Gemmill 47445
See what O'Neill does in the summer tbh. He'll have his work cut out attracting people to Villa, but if Lerner stumps up the cash, they could very well come on in leaps and bounds next year. They've stagnated a bit since he took over, but their squad isn't exactly great, as is, is it?
sweetleftpeg 0
The world is full of 'what ifs'. As much as I thought he was a dour twat before he came here, I really though Dalglish was the man who make the jump to silverwear that KK couldn't. I've come to the conclusion that we're a jinx and whoever comes here will struggle.

I see MON making lasting improvements at Villa, with a chairman who'll back him and seems like he's happy to take a back seat in things (unlike Deadly Doug). Guest alex
O'Neill has done a good job wherever he's been and I fully expect him to do a good job at Villa. He's already made them look a better outfit imo. We missed out on not getting him as he's a cut above Roeder I reckon.
@yourservice 67
MON is well overrated and who has he managed?a scottish outfit in a 2 horse race and before that? Talks and look's like a good tactition etc etc but really he's fooling everyone into thinking that he is a good manager, and hats off to the bloke for doing that,he's done well to a lot but not to me he hasn't
