Never been one to slag them reall... if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys tbh. However, they're really pissed me off this afternoon. Got a flight booked in May, sent me an e-mail today telling me that nasty old Gordon Brown has added on extra flight taxes so I have to pay the additional cost before January 15th or they'll cancel my booking. A bit pissed off, but fair enough. Go on the site, it's only a tenner extra (still, a tenner is a tenner!). Go to pay, big fuck off error screen saying there's a database error, I've been unsuccessful in making payment, and that I should wait a few moments before pressing 'back' and trying again. I do this and...guess what...they've charged me the tenner twice. :yes Their website is utter shite for trying to find out how to get my money back and the phone number they've given has 4 million automated options but nothing to do with how I get my money back. Been on hold for 20 minutes, it's £1 a minute apparently. FOR FUCKS SAKE!

So it's cost you 20 notes already on the phone and your only trying to reclaim a tenner.

Wacky logic that like.

I hope you're ringing from your work phone!Credit card company double charged a payment I made to them last month for £181. I only realised yesterday when I did my once-in-a-while check of my bank account (peering through my fingers, terrified at what I might see). Rang them and they've refunded me, the incompetent tits.

That's just daft. Surely you entered into some kind of binding agreement with them by virtue of purchasing the original ticket? Mind, I'm sure there'll be small print somewhere telling you that you'll have to mortgage your soul prior to going through security, etc.

I'll give credit to that Swedish low-fare mob who mucked me around a while back, at least they had the good grace to reply to my letter and offer me an open ticket for any date in the next year instead of the unusable outgoing flight that they changed. Admittedly, the likelihood of me wanting to go to Gothenburg again in the next 12 months is highly minimal, but it's closer to customer service than you tend to get from Stelios's merry orange gang or those cheeky Oirish thieves...

At the bottom of their e-mail;

Important Note: when you booked your flight the terms and conditions

you accepted did state that if taxes and charges outside of our

control were raised before your flight departed, we would have to pass

on the cost to you. Failure to make the additional APD payment may

result in you not being allowed to take your flight.

Fairy muff. However, they've just given me a number to ring and IT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK. :yes

I WANT MY TENNER BACK!

well I think they're right about that shambles at Bristol Airport - planes skidding all over the place and the Airport refuising to owt about it until the airlines pull the plug..............

looks as if they just laid down the tarmac and didn't cut any grooves in it
