Dr Gloom 22384
shepherd expected souness to do better, otherwise he wouldn't have backed him to the hilt with cash. roeder is operating under less pressure. shepherd knows he's got a small squad and he isn't likely to sack him largely because of how much expectations were lowered by the souness debacle. Rob W 0
aye Souness had reached those numbers after spending a fortune and a couple of years in the job after all roeder has been fighting an uphill struggle from Day
Papa Lazaru 0
They are interesting, but Souness had already had a previous season (bar a handful of games at the start)producing some of the worst shite i've ever suffered and should have long been gone, whereas Roeder has previously had only a part season where he inherited the SOuness shambles and turned it round. So whatever we think of Roeder he's still way ahead of Souness overall in his time at NUFC, that doesn't make it good enough though!
norm 0
....and there's always the incredible injury list that Roeder has had to deal with.
