"Hanging out". You're sounding a bit Party of Five again.

I wish it wasn't my day off. I get away from all this bullying at work. :icon_lol:

How shit is New Year's Eve btw?

Depends what you do, I suppose. I had a really nice time hanging out and playing board games, but at the same time, I could have had the same really nice time any other night of the year. Although to an extent, the people who were around wouldn't have been in the same place had it not been NYE. So there's a degree to which it's not bad.

Sounds shit tbh :D:lol:

Maybe you just don't know enough high-calibre people to make hanging out enjoyable, regardless of what you do. :search:

Either that or staying in playing board games sounds shit.

I quite like Cluedo and Monopoly. After that, I'm struggling <_<

3 People wanted to play Risk. The rest (myself included) had never played. 20 minutes later and without anyone having even set up their pieces, I tentatively suggested Hungry Hungry Hippos.

We ended up playing Cranium, which was really enjoyable, and Trivial Pursuit, which I didn't enjoy much. But there was plenty of socialising inbetween. It was low-key but pleasant. I like low-key, especially when I have to work the next day.

I almost mentioned Risk. How dull?

Pop-up Pirate, Buckaroo and Operation.

Scrabble's a good game, lets me be all verbose :icon_lol:

I don't like Scrabble because Lauren beats me at it.

Lucky you don't need to know what the big words mean too. <_<

I do enjoy making up words in Scrabble, though, and discovering they really do exist. It's very frustrating for whoever you're playing.

IKEA Scrabble is great. You just have to come up with words that sound like they could be daft IKEA product names.

And explain what the product is, of course.

"SKIRBLE for 37. Set of plastic coat-hangers."

Nice, I'm going to try playing that next week!
