Wouldn't want us to fork out a transfer fee for him though - Bosman or nowt. Everyone reckoned Beardsley was past his best in 1993 remember - class shines through though. Winning games is more important than selling shirts. Not that I think Beckham wouldn't help do this, but we shouldn't be signing players purely for their commercial potential.
