Given 7 - differnt class as usual.

Huntington 6 - coped well with robben on a difficult debut

Taylor 6 - solid

Ramage 5 - good defensively but awful distribution

Baba 4 - awful. playing alongside three kids and he looked like the rookie

Milner 6 - can't fault his workrate but his final ball lacks quality and he isn't quick enough to take the likes of ashely cole on

Butt 7 - up there with le sib for man of the match

Zoggy 6 - looked good before injury

Rossi 5 - nice touches and neat in possesion without ever posing much of a threat in the final third.

The Sib 7 - used the ball well, brought others into play.

Martins - 5 great effort and some signs of pace but he lacked composure and movement was poor.

Pattison 4 - crap.

Luque 4 - ditto

N'Zogbia doesn't deserve a 6. He didn't do anything much at all in this game. In fact, he hasn't done much all season. IMO, he's prospect but that's all. I lose track of the number of times he gives the ball away very cheaply. Good players don't do that and some of you are looking at him through rose tinted glasses avoiding his limited contribution most of this season. Seems to be the in thing to do...giving N'Zogbia decent marks when he contributes f-all.

Pattison is another one that people were manking a lot of noise about but he looks poor...far too slow with no suggestion of composure on the ball or the ability to pay a telling pass.

Personally I think a lot of you are are little too hard on Babayaro, I think he had a half-way decent game and got some good tackles in. He is the best left-back we have at the moment and should be given some slack and not be slagged as much as he is.

Ramage was for the most part average, he is easily turned, lacks pace, and is not the most efficient of tacklers or header of the ball.

Taylor had a good strong game but occasionally he has the touch of Bramblesque about him in his sometimes wild moves.

Huntington was only fair as a right-back but held his end up. Had Chelsea been on song he would have had to face a different kind of tune. His ball distribution could have been better.

As a back-four, under the circumstances that prevailed, they held the line quite well and it was most unfortunate that they leaked in the winning goal. I sat down to watch the game feeling very sure we were going to lose and just hoped the score could be held down, never thinking that we could possibly come away with a point. And we very nearly did, it was a very good effort.

Wanna knaa wot aa thowt aboot the mid-fielders?
