Brock Manson 0
The whole chapter based narrative is wearing more than a little thin for me. He's made some cracking films but now he's just running out of ideas/in a position where he can churn out any old crap and it'll make a shedload at the box office. I thought the Kill Bill films were just dull, which is some feat given all the action that was taking place. The final showdown too was utter dirge, bathos at its crudest which isn't something I want to see in an action film. Inglorious Basterds was rubbish too - the story just didn't work. Brock Manson 0
How so do you mean? It was all too cobbled together and shoehorned in. They went way overboard with the artistic license to the point where it was ridiculously implausible even for a Tarantino film. Wolfenstein has a far better story than IB did. Happy Face 29
Aye, pretty fucking daft or little interest in the bloke if you don't know QT's view of film violence by now.
LoveTheBobby 1
Did you see the whole interview on Ch4 News ?I couldn't quite believe it . Think it was a case of rehearsed lines goinv a bit west . They cut back to the studio with Kristan Guruwotsit and John Snow says "that's your butt closed down" "N, no it's wide open and certainly intact . . *bit awkward* Edited January 12, 2013 by LoveTheBobby
OTF 7214
I really enjoyed Inglourious Basterds and am of the opinion that if you watched it and didn't enjoy it; you probably had pre-formed an opinion or you're an uptight arsewad, or worse one of those anti-popular culture conceited dick heads. Ayatollah Hermione 13762
I didn't like it. Thought that scene in the bar that everyone wanks over was canny daft as well.

Thought that scene in the bar that everyone wanks over was canny daft as well. same. the film was silly as fuck. and not in a way which seemed to make any sort of point about anything. For instance QT's idea of re-writing history so Jewish-Americans could fulfil some strange, pre-supposed revenge fantasy in which they brutally persecute Nazis I found particularly bizarre. Dr Gloom 21760
Set the bar high with his first two movies. Hasn't hit those heights since but his films are mostly enjoyable nonetheless.

Thought it was a set up personally. The thing about Krishnan is that he's very bright and knew what buttons to push. Quinty Tinsletown comes across as what he is at the core:A genre exploiter. A vapid 'film enthusiast' who got to re-make the best bits of all the films he likes AGAIN. However there are still intirguing moments in all his work which shows he has an eye for the strings of a scene - the nitty gritty - the play on the psyche...Why else so much iconaclism? It's like he only types in UPPER CAPS the darling. Basically some nutty dago with a black fetish. Edited January 14, 2013 by Park Life

tooner 243
i enjoy his films and will go and see django, but he is a grade A wanker. i think its because of his "i'm the greatest" attitude that i feel this way, i don't think its onside for an artist to have that type of ego (except for rappers i suppose) i don't think they should be allowed to comment on their own art it should be left to those that consume the end product.
