asteroidblitz 12
Got my wrist slapped at work today after the boss discovered what the µtorrent logo in the systray was! Does anyone know of a torrent or usenet client that will run without anything sitting in the systray or the taskbar? The people I work with are too daft to use alt-ctrl-del, so it does'nt have to be too clever, and as long as I don't hog the bandwidth too much, they would never notice. Gemmill 44805
Can't you go into the preferences on utorrent and select to have nothing showing in the tray? Can't believe you're downloading torrents at work though tbh.
asteroidblitz 12
Still waiting to have the web hooked up at my new home! Would rather stay away from µtorrent, tbh, as the boss will be keeping an eye out for it...
wykikitoon 20113
The people are daft to use ctrl-alt-del but if youre not in IT the the IT dept will notice your net conn mate My advice, dont bother!
Craig 6682
if you've already had your wrists slapped, you'll be nuts to try it again. One of the first connections we look for on bandwidth monitoring is bit-torrents. IT dept will know you're doing it, they're just waiting for management to ask for details of anything dodgy going on. Put simply, if they're aware you've done it once, they WILL be requesting the stats from your IP/login again in the future...

asteroidblitz 12
It's only a small office of 5 people, and there is no IT dept to speak of. My contract runs out in 2 weeks, so I'm not bothered about getting my wrists slapped again Found a wireless connection with my psp, so I'm looking into getting past the wep security now

MrBass 2651
Just use the customize option on your start bar and set the torrent app to always hide.
