snakehips 0
Agreed with all comments. Ironically the one line in the show that should have dated more than anything else due to overuse is still the one that makes me laugh the most-the one where Trigger constantly refers to Rodney as Dave. Culminating in: "He's naming the baby Rodney....after Dave". On a par with "Don't tell them, Pike!" tbh. *remembers the scene well and chortles* Is that basically the same joke as the kids on Lethal Weapon? Can hardly remember out about that film, apart from ',but you're blek. Listen to your friend, he knows what he is talking about'. Right film? No but it's the sequal to the right film What do some silly numbers mean, between friends? Well they mean you don't know the bit of the film I mean for a kick off Correct! MattM4 0
The initial "final three" episodes (the batman and robin one, culminating in finding the watch and selling it) was brilliant, plus it was Chirstmas time so it was the perfect way to end. That final scene when they go back to the flat for the last time is so sad. When the first extra one came out (that one with jon Ross) I was gutted, because it was total crap. The shark was so far away in the distance it was unreal. ... But they came back strong and that "Gary" one was class, so was the very last one. Papa Lazaru 0
It was an excellent mainstream sitcom the whole family could enjoy once it hit its form, i think the very early ones aren't as good and rarely ever shown. The three episodes involving batman/Robin and them becoming milionaires were as good as anything he'd written and were a perfect way to end the series. He then spoiled it all by bringing it back and it steadilly got worse and he made the truly awful decision to pick that "actor" to play the kid who ruined every scene he went near and must have been the directors son or something, he was hideous! What little i've seen of the Boycie spin off just confirms the fact he's now past his best as a writer and he should never bring OFAH back again. NJS 4411
Very funny in its day but been repeated too many times now - agree they should have stopped with the watch. I think the scene in that one where Rodney bought the roller for Del is up there with the end of Blackadder 4 for the most moving scene in a comedy ever (or any other show for that matter). I agree 100% on this though! Maybe the only scene he didn't spoil was the one of his birth
