I know a lot of lawyers who thought it was spot on for realism, and it was brilliantly acted and produced, probably my favourite soap-like drama I have seen (although cardiac arrest with Helen Baxendale came close but was much shorter). Will also try anything to get a rapist off the hook. Some do, in the same way some coppers will pin anything on anybody just to get a conviction. The two balance each other out imo. What lack of knowledge as I am in the department of law and social sciences at university I know a fair few lawyers and law students. Also having dealt with a few lawyers in my pursuit of compensation due to an injury suffered whilst in the army because they wanted to give me nothing means I have seen how they work.
