Last year he was put out of action while breaking out a concrete slab in the back garden and putting his knee out in the process. All things told he's doing remarkably well. He's a stubborn old bugger and is determined to keep busy. The result is the most DIY-bodge-filled house you will ever see. I never touch anything that's plugged into the mains.
