Gemmill 44258
Ah right, sorry. He was absolutely awesome (and I mean this in the proper sense of the word) when he first came onto the scene. Destroyed much bigger fighters with relentless aggression to the point where fighters had lost the fight before they even got in with him. Ali would still have boxed his head off in his prime though. Agreed, the Ali that beat Liston and Williams probably would have made Tyson look like a crude slugger, but with his punch, he'd always have a chance, if Frazier and Cooper could put Ali on his arse I'm sure Tyson could have, and who knows, might have kept him down for the count. True, it only takes one punch when you hit that hard. Have to admit I loved seeing Tyson get whipped by Lewis though. Watched it in America with a load of Americans and they were all gutted. sweetleftpeg 0
I saw him in London in 2000 when he was over here fighting, flanked by about a dozen big fuckers in suits, which is unfortunately where most of his money went.

sweetleftpeg 0
I remember when he was fighting Bruno and everyone expected Frank to get totoally fucked over (which he did), however, he caught Tyson with a good un early doors and he was hurt, prompting the unbaised Harry Carpenter to scream 'GET IN THERE FRANK!' Gemmill 44258
I was working in the nightclub when Bruno beat McCall to win the title. I had taped it and planned on watching it when I got home, but somebody told me the result before I finished at work. I remember sitting in a taxi on the way home thinking how strange it was to live in a world that Frank fucking Bruno was the heavyweight champion of. I remember watching it with my dad and the last round was painful, Bruno was totally fucked to the point he was having difficulty standing and McCall was punching the shit out of him. I bet the entire nation was sitting there screaming 'HANG ON FRANK YOU FUCKER!' People's champ tbh.

I never got to see the fight before I knew the result, so I knew he would hang on, but I know what you mean about that last round. He was completely dead on his feet. The confetti and all the lights and that at the end was hilarious.

I remember winning the pub sweep stake for the result of that fight, I bought 2 tickets one for me and one for a mate, one was for Bruno on points, the other was Tyson by KO in the 3rd, I took one glance at the tickets and gave the Bruno on points ticket to my mate.
