New Year in Toon

Out big happening in Newcastle. I've heard is that Digital is having some massive party, which could be canny, but sounds like it will cost abit too much? I think World Headquaters have something on, but tickets are "Only £15" ONLY?!

Ideally I'm looking for somewhere that will be good crack and atmosphere, nothing too OTT, and not somewhere where all the scruffs will pile in (Bambu, Ikon etc)

I can't think of owt worse than fighting my way through the bars in town on NYE. Drinks are expensive, taxi's are extortionate and it's heaving. Nothangyew!

I think you should have a house party Cath. ;)

One night I do like ;)

Mr and Mrs hips and friends on the pop for many hours and having a ball :)

Not, I might add, in the town but a few local dwinkies then off to someone's house. Remind me closer to the day and I'll invite you all *sniggers* *feels foolish for sniggering* *decides life is too short and couldn't give a fuck if anyone thinks sniggering is infantile*

I'm going to Chester with a few people and I know for a fact it's going to be a huge waste of money. I'm really not into going clubbing that much anyway but I have a choice of either that or sitting in the house on my lonesome.

Blatantly going to get stabbed tbh.

I used to love New Year's as a kid as it meant you could all stay up a bit later, but now it's just the same as a normal night out except more expensive and it's heaving.

NYE is totally shit.. One of my friends who lives round the corner usually has a small-ish house party which I go to mainly because it's a chance to catch up with friends who have been away at Uni since the summer. Could never be arsed fighting through the crowds in town like.

Agreed. The town is totally shite. Too busy and too expensive. I remembner a few years back paying £80 tickets for the town. That was getting into three clubs and drinks all in. About what Id have spent anyway, but it was still shite. Over hyped.

I used to be well up for it, now Id be happier having a few friends round and making a curry or something.
