Knocked Back for Huntelaar

If true then atleast we tried to get him. He's a class act.

We've made an enquiry for him and Emanuelson apparently and been told no-go on both of them. I'd like to get excited that we're targetting someone of quality, but to me it just seems stupidly ambitious. It's like when I try and sign Totti on FM.

Nice one Glenn, lets alert everyone to our targets.

Give him a break man.

Bollocks, at a more professional club the first you'd hear of a signing like that is when the player is photographed next to the manager holding up his shirt with name and number.

I'm in agreement with Jimbo here, he's just using it as a PR stunt to try and appease the disgruntled amongst us.

Anyone could see he's class from when he played for Hereenveen against us.

Fair enough but the 'alert everyone to our targets' comment was a bit daft. I mean, there isn't clubs hiding in the shadows who are going to buy him solely because we were intrested.

I disagree, ManUre bid for Rooney because we forced their hand, although he was obviously on their Radar as a target, because we went blundering in, they jumped in too, the same could probably be said for Kuyt.

Now we are shouting of our lust for Huntelaar from the rooftops, look for the likes of Arsenal to get twitchy too.

Theses days though, even if we don't come out and say we're interested, the agents will be on the phone to the papers like flies round shit telling the world that he's in talks. In other words trying to raise the hand and get other bidders in.

Maybe 10 years ago it would have been hush hust BUT the public seem to know about EVERY transfer going on at the moment. Sometimes weeks in advance.

I blame SSN tbh

I blame N-O they seem to know every transfer player/manager before it even happens, if we had half the players that some of there neighbors aunts had seen at Newcastle Airport we would be storming the league by now.

;)
