Rob W 0
Those of you who read the Indie obit. for Long John Baldry may have noticed that amongst the many greats he nurtured and played with - he discovered Rod Stewart busking on Richmond railway station in jan 1964, gave his name to Reg Dwight as a surname when Dwight went solo, played with Brian Auger, Clapton, Cream , Jagger etc etc but the obit stated "and Hogsnort Rupert - who are sadly consigned to oblivion" It ain;t so and apparently you can still buy their records http://www.sergent.com.au/hogsnortrupert.html http://www.bandwave.com/hogsnortrupert/ The Wildest Pig In Captivity (John Renbourn) 2:05 - an instumental dedicated to Hogsnort Rupert. Apparently John once played in his band - The Famous Porkestra. I must admit this band passed me by but I may actually go out and look for a CD ........
