thenorthumbrian 0
It was interesting to hear that Roeder rested Rossi for the Man City game. Why the hell would Rossi need resting he's hardly played since he came on loan. Perhaps he rested him before he became traumatised having to play for us again... Jimbo 175
If Rossi needed resting, then Shola needed a one way trip to a Swiss clinic.

He's better than what we have not got He's not, he's an average youngster who's overrated because he's from Man Utd, he missed a sitter against Charlton and was a passenger against Sheffield Utd, on top of that he runs out of steam after 45 minutes. Looks like he has the potential to be a good player to me. His first touch is excellent. And as for running out of steam, how many senior first team games has the kid played in? He looked far more suited to the game than Martins to me (in the few games he actually played before getting "rested" again).

He's shown everything a striker could need. Pace, movement, awareness, touch, vision and on the potential to be a very good finisher, he's also highly rated at Manu by all concerned, but what do manu know about talented young players!!! However a few games in our current situation can have a negative effect on any player, particularly strikers! Obviously he's not the finished article yet, or why else would Fergie let us have him instead of playign him at manu!
Guest alex
Also, he looks more like the 2nd striker than the one to lead the line. Certainly at this stage of his career anyway.

Both he and Martins have really suffered not having an experienced striker alongisde them leading the line due to injuries, retirments and bad use of the transfer window. They have further suffered by playing a team who create next to nothing, offer very little going forward and who collective can't cross a ball or use set pieces anymore!
