snakehips 0
Just a follow up to the insurance thread the other day. We found out that insuring hips jnr for his car is astronomical. Mrs hips was told by some colleagues that it is cheaper if you do it on-line with her on the insurance as well (she has 6 years no-claims bonus). She is the main person on our car insurance. Sooo, she went to Tesco on-line, put all the details in and her quote was accepted which was £400-odd cheaper than using Quinn direct. She came and told me the news but had not gone ahead with completing the insurance until I had okayed it. I told her to phone Tesco and see what they say. She, in return, said 'Well, what if you don't say anything? They wont know, and he will have insurance.' I told her that insurance is dependent on full and utmost disclosure. She spoke to Tesco who told her that what she had been quoted on-line was not allowable, even though it had been accepted. The person who spoke to mrs hips said that if others had done this then their insurance was invalid. If you, or anyone you know, has done this, ask them just to check as the last thing we want is invalid insurances.
