Happy Face 29
Someone mentioned they never check what's on, so as a public service to you.... SUNDAY 12TH NOVEMBER (Today) POM POKO 3pm Film4 I've not seen it, but it's Studio Ghibli who did Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS 8pm Channel 4 No explanation requiered. Best of the 3. AMELIE 9pm Film4 I realise Planet Earth is on at the same time, but that's repeated through the week and is available on replay. If you have Film4+1 you could watch this at 10, after Planet Earth. It's in my personal favourite 3 films ever, a beautiful thing. MONDAY 13TH NOVEMBER THE ARISTOCRATS 11.20pm Film4 Documentary about the filthiest joke that all comedians know and love. Basically an hour and a half of different comedians telling that same joke. You wouldn't think it could be as funny after 80 minutes as it is in the first ten, but it's hilarious throughout. The South Park Section posted on here ages ago is the highlight. TUESDAY 14TH NOVEMBER WARGAMES 6.50pm Film4 Ferris Beuller starts world war 3 with a spectrum and no nternet. classic kiddy entertainment. AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY 9pm Film4 Dr Evil might be the single funniest comic film character ever. Which balances out Austin Powers who's possibly the least funny. Worth putting up with one to enjoy the other though. MONSTER 10pm Channel 4 I'd rather watch the Nick Broomfield documentaries about her, but it's a canny sad film. SCUM 10pm ITV4 "Right Banks, you bastard! I'm the daddy now, next time, I'll fucking kill ya!" "Vegetarians? I've shit 'em... " "Up your fucking borstal! " "MECCA? ARCHER?" MALLRATS 10.45pm Film4 People seem to love to bits. It was alright I suppose. THIEF 11.55pm BBC1 Not seen it personally, but I'm tempted to tape it. James Caan is supposed to be at his best, as is Michael Mann. I keep hearing loads of films compared to it like it's the be all and end all of crime thrillers. NATURAL BORN KILLERS 12midnight Channel 4 I'd imagine we've all seen this. Brilliant stuff. WEDNESDAY 15TH NOVEMBER RITA, SUE AND BOB TOO 11.40pm Film4 Classic. THURSDAY 16TH NOVEMBER BATTLE ROYALE II: REQUIEM 11.15pm Channel 4 It's shit like. I only mention it in case the completists among you who enjoyed the first one want to watch it so you can say you have. Lot's of Anti-american toss that goes nowhere in particular with none of the inspiration of the first one. FRIDAY 17TH NOVEMBER 633 SQUADRON 1.35pm BBC2 BLESS THIS HOUSE 1.50pm Channel 4 SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL 9pm ITV3 ALIEN 3 10pm five THE DEER HUNTER 11.05pm Film4 Edited November 12, 2006 by Happy Face
Ally 0
I'll watch Battle Royale 2 like. The first one is quality, and even though i've heard this one is crap i'll give it a go.
MattM4 0
Amelie and The Aristocrats tickle my fancy from that list... haven't seen the first in a while, and have been wanting to check the other one out for some time.
Ayatollah Hermione 13760
Ugh, BR II. It's not only the shitty messages throughout, it's the fact the main character is a bog-eyed, over-reacting piece of cock that angers me so much.

The Fish 10672
Re: BRII, don't you find that a lot of Japanese films have exactly the same characters in it? the crazy one, the stroppy hero, the wailing girl, the quiet deadly one, the fat funny one? luckyluke 2
The yobs I lived with last year criticised my purchase of Amelie as "it's a girl's film". Phillistines.

David Kelly 1217
Mallrats is awfull in many ways (smacks of Kevin Smith trying to make a studio film after his indie success with Clerks) but it has some really great bits and Jason Lee is superb. Meenzer 15347
THE ARISTOCRATS 11.20pm Film4 "Strong language and sexual references throughout." Sky's TV guide, the masters of understatement as ever.
