It's a fucking golf course.

I know it's how it works but my concern is not getting any more/all of the signings in before games are played - being harsh we're playing 4 or 5 games in a kind of twilight zone of possible dropped points but for 1 or 2 better players. I know those games include 2 which are probably write-offs anyway being pessimistic but still....

I thought he was from Redcar but close enough.

Just renewed my passport as it was expiring in October and it arrived today - only took a week so not sure about the horror stories in the press - maybe if there's a glitch it all goes tits up. And they're definitely black not blue.
-
Wearside Jack for Sunderland surely?
-
Haven't been there for years but a visit to Ocean Road that doesn't include The Star of India seems remiss.

"Hugely popular" with all the snide cunts he's done favours for as well as the eternal 6 point gifts but hated by the fans of every club the cunt has polluted.

Fundamentally it's "good" that Centrica's shareholders get larger dividends but "bad" to increase workers wages. That's the message drummed in over 40 years and nothing will improve until its tackled. Two years ago we made a couple of hundred people redundant to cut costs as shareholders had been promised a certain figure for returns - I suggested to a couple of people we could keep the staff and offer 3 or 4 percent less and I was either laughed at or looked at like I was insane. Greed is good when it comes to profits but evil when it comes to costs.

Reeves made anti-trans comments last week which is supposedly against Labour policy without a word being said. Then she said nationalisation was out across the board only for them to have to backtrack and say railways was still policy. Not a fucking word.

Absolutely not at all - I think there was/is a lot wrong with the EU (See Greece) but I was a strong believer in being in and pissing out. I think Blair said that in the context of Corbyn but he said it in general terms as well - I'll have a look. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/tony-blair-says-he-wouldn-t-want-a-leftwing-labour-party-to-win-an-election-10406928.html Fair enough he doesn't mention the tories, just a Labour victory but still. I understand his point about what he thinks works but disagree - I don't think the formation of the NHS would have passed his test.
-
Voting Labour in the hope they'll be "decent" and open the door to moving leftwards is a lie. See the Democrats under Obama and even worse Biden and to a lesser degree New Labour - NL did do some good things but did nothing to change attitudes to smearing the concept of socialism - as illustrated by Blair's quote about preferring a tory government to a left wing Labour party. I'm not as focused on the brexit side of things as Rayvin - I think across the board labour under Starmer will be no different to the tories.
-
They haven't realised Almiron replaced Murphy....
-
Not a cultist but on nationalisation the membership reflects the electorate a lot more than Starmer.
-
Given his appalling approval ratings I wonder how long it will be before someone uses the phrase "unelectable".
-
I said before the pressure really started on Johnson that if they replaced him with Sunak then there would be virtually no difference between the parties on policies - especially economic ones . I know the membership being batshit now makes that look unlikely so we're back to hoping for a tory self-destruct to allow Labour to win by default. I see no sign of Starmer being a bait and switcher, especially with Reeves. I know it's an easy insult but I really can't see why the latter didn't join the tory party or indeed why the fuck she joined Labour.
-
I could take Starmer's "growth" stuff if it mentioned redistribution but it doesn't - you can grow this economy as much as you want but if it continues to diverge as it has done then it's a complete waste of time.
-
Thing is, for people who've paid off their mortgage and have savings, 7% base rates sound desirable - i. e. Tory members/voters.
-
As I've said before they can't /won't fix it or anything else as once in power you have to appease the people who put you there ahead of anything that's right. Even a renegotiated trade deal with the EU would be seen and sold as treason by the press and the tories.
-
Me as well please. I've been using an iptv provider which is perfect 90% of the time but that 10% is annoying as fuck.
-
Every time he appears I imagine someone having the guts to ask him "Why are so many white supremacists fat messes like you?"
-
It's directed by the tory press who'll weaponise it against Labour when strikes happen and at the election. I'm not expecting a firm commitment to reverse it.
-
fair enough. I went from the Opticians via the NHS who referred me to a private clinic who after about 3 months and two assessments, cancelled my surgery the day before it was due as they couldn't work out which lens to use as a complication of me having them lasered 24 years ago. I went through work, was seen the same day and operated on 5 days later. Its a shitter that at times made my skin crawl but I haven't come to regret it (yet).....
-
It was a private hospital, she mainly agreed with him.

When I was awaiting my eye surgery last week, the bloke in the next individual day ward was talking to the nurse about how "Boris" had been stabbed in the back and how it was terrible as he'd done a great job. Also Starmer's curry thing was "exactly the same thing" as all of the Downing Street parties and he was therefore untrustworthy. Thankfully judging by his medical conditions, eye aside, the cunt will be dead before the next election but still...

That's a grammar atrocity.
