  1. Patel will be biding her time for when Johnson returns.
  2. A mic for Saturday's would have gone something like: "Willock collides with the keeper which prevents him from saving it - foul, no goal" If they didn't consider the push on Willock then they wouldn't have mentioned it - unless there's a second viewer to debate/argue.
  3. It doesn't matter than trickle down is bollocks - just like likening the economy to a household budget or the magic money tree - those concepts are hammered home by the media and ingrained in the average voters mind. If only someone could have the bollocks to point this out without being scared of upsetting focus groups of cunts.
  4. I'm a fatalist after too many years of watching us but nothing in the universe would prevent us losing that match if it was replayed. Even if they awarded us two extra points "on paper" they'd find another way to rescind them later.
  5. First "good" team they've played or am I being harsh? Goal decision was shit though.
  6. There's an OpiniumResearch one with only a four point lead so I wouldn't get too excited though I agree Truss can/should only harm them.
  7. Viera has always been and remains a cunt. (wouldn't say it to his face, obviously).
  8. Might have been said but the selection of the angle and the removal of the second before the collision which includes the push is what should be questioned. I don't blame the ref given what he was shown but the edit stinks and Mason not highlighting the push given he'd have seen the full replay set reekks even more.
  9. Talking about things that wouldn't happen nowadays, we went to Pontins when I was 7 and they randomly divided everyone into two teams for competition purposes. The two teams were Embassy Gold and Embassy Regal
  10. I see Sam Fender is playing SJP next June - wait till the mackems find out...
  11. Hamman was asked if we should sign Tielemens and he said "no, he should go to Liverpool". Cunt.
  12. Supposedly after some West Ham right back according to Sky. It's that Ashby mentioned by Hope above.
  13. It's not the actual time that bothers me it's how it's applied differently according to the teams and situation. I remember two examples from 95/96 - when we lost 1-0 to Man Utd at home the whistle went 30 seconds after the 90th minute as that score was "correct" but when they were trailing 1-0 at QPR it was fine for Cantona to equalise after 5 o clock. If they'd scored last night in the 89th minute there would have been 3 minutes at most put up and even a player dying with full last rites being applied on the pitch wouldn't have delayed the whistle at that mark by a nanosecond.
  14. Tbf if you look at Ferdinand's goals before/after Xmas that was a factor too and I did think he was a good example of one whose nerve went a bit - I feel harsh saying that as I absolutely loved the bloke.
  15. Neville fucking Gillespie for me. (Though Keegan's bit about not knowing how to win it compared to them is probably the truth).
  16. I had this three years ago but it was from £10 to £250 which I had to pay for a few months - turned out it was a leak and I got it all back eventually once it was fixed.
  17. He seemed to be doing well at Blackburn over a couple of years only to trail off when it mattered - something similar to that while building their hopes up would do nicely.
  18. Also the old 40-50k is "middle income" bullshit - just because a canny few earn a lot more than that doesn't mean there are millions on that kind of money - the average/median is still less than 30k I think.
  19. Replacement shortlist: Fat Sam Cabbage Bruce Coleman Moyes Keane Hopefully.
  20. I have vague memories of the power cuts but nothing as clear as that. What I do despise though is those who relish it happening again as some kind of thing people deserve just because the people who did face it think it's right that they do. (Not saying at all that you were saying anything like that Trooper).
