Someone (Laz?) posted a site a while ago where you can view a shit load of TV shows - can someone remind me what it was? I've got into NCIS over the past few months and have been waiting to see the end of S2 /start of S3 for a while as the events are pretty traumatic - C5 has reached that stage in its repeats and showed the first ep of the third season last night and now I can't wait 6 days to see the next one. (Tried Piratebay - no luck)

Good away performance as has been said - could and perhaps should have won it. What this and the Villa game tell me is that the "gap" to the initial level we want to be at (challenging for sixth) is eminently doable. It also shows why Allardyce (and Roeder for that matter) should be shot for failing so miserably in that and more for telling us we have to wait years for it to happen. At the turn of the year I thought we'd need a summer of mass outs and ins - now I'm tending towards Kev's "4 or 5 quality players" view.

Sounds like a genetically engineered Teutonic lesbian. Wonderful thought at this time of day - thanks Agent bollocks but if it was "true" it would show what hypocrites Fergie et al are for having a go at agents when they use them like this to unsettle players.

Speaking of John Carpenter I really liked They Live.
-
I think its worth highlighting as an example of a "reformed" player under Keegan.
-
I think Mallrats is Smith's funniest film - its not the best (Dogma) or even better than Clerks but I think its the simplistically funniest. On the topic I really liked both Under Sieges and whilst accepting all the cliches about Seagal I also find some of his other films watchable.

45 years of pens like that given at that end - doesn't mean they haven't been the best side over that time but they are cheating, horrible cunts all the same. I think I would have leapt out of my seat if the head cunt had missed.

Tried to watch first LOTR film twice only to fall asleep - gave up.

Beating the drop has Keegan set to shop

Bollocks. His "plan" was for us to endure 3 seasons (at least) which achieve the same as this one - 40ish points and no chance of UEFA. Given any kind of resources and with a half decent squad to start with that is completely unacceptable ambition wise - and thats before style/tactics are mentioned. If Keegan left in May he'll have achieved enough and I'd thank him - and I don't mean staying up - he has made a lot of people actually enjoy football again and has introduced a priceless commodity - hope. -
Classic West Wing. Ironically (I think) meant as a safeguard against an overbearing government to encourage the citizens to rebel if needed.

It is english and it's far from a pile of shite. I'm doing a 3,000 word on its religious influence at the moment. Middle/old english - whatever it's called - isn't modern as you need a translation dictionary to read it.
-
"I don't be understandin' dems fancy writings" I'm a pretty prolific reader - I just don't think so called masterpieces hold much appeal in the 21st century. I'll fully admit to basing a lot of that on doing Julius Caesar, Oliver Twist and the aforementioned Chaucer at school but I've also tried things from genres which interest me more like Dracula and The Time Machine with the same results - too "fancy" for me. I'd also consider myself a fan of the horror/crime genre and if Thomas Harris is the best on offer then the list is flawed.
-
Did Canterbury Tales for O level - its not english and is a pile of shite - FACT. Read Do Androids dream of electric sheep - for once I'm glad the film was better than a book. The rest are mostly pretensious shit as far as I can see.
-
Workmate of mine is a fan of theirs - was going to go but his flight was T5 and his mates couldn't sort him out a ticket so he bottled out - he's watching it at some cafe in London - probably won't see him tomorrow now.
-
I Usually go to Reading and V but haven't bothered so far this year - both lineups are patchy and mirror last year where I didn't enjoy them as much as in the past. I'll probably go to the Muse day at V - I'll just get a ticket off a scouser on the day.

One more point means Bolton need more than 9 points from 6 games. Almost there.

Whats the worst thing you've ever seen on the internet ?

The spider that grew in someone's hand was horrific. -
It would be incompetence of epic stature if they moved it because of the smogs, not realising: 1. A chelsea match is quite likely to be skyed up. 2. The match at Wembley. (4-2 to Spurs)
-
I'm trying it out but it seems iffy mouse scroll wise - doesn't scroll as much as FF - any ideas?

All I remember about him is that in the kingdom of the Arsenal whining, diving cheats, he was crown prince waiting for Pires' reign to end.

LM: Do you think Shepherd's "talent" for finding money for players was 1. Practical for years to come especially considering increased wages 2. Without the dangers that Isegrim has referred to Obviously if Allardyce had been able to deliver the returns would have been better but not many people think that was likely and the man himself said he needed at least 3 years. Do you think 3 europe-less seasons with yet more borrowing for players would have been okay or would you have been worried? I've always been cynical when people talk about the club folding (biggest culprit being J. Hall) but Leeds/SAFC/Sheff Wed scenarios would have been possible in the future I outlined above.
-
I get some of what LM is saying when he lauds Shepherd for finding the money to back his managers but I was getting concerned as to how much longer he could go on doing it without Leeds type consequences. My view of clearing the debt is that that particular worry is gone but I'd now like to see spending from Ashley on top of the money set aside previously for debt (ST sales) as well as the extra TV money. I think £30-40m spending this summer would indicate zero commitment as that is what should be a given.

I thought that was supposedly the case anyway - I remember Shearer getting booked by Rennie for asking him why he'd booked Lua Lua for diving when the Bolton player had admitted fouling him and Shearer said "I spoke to him as captain which I'm allowed to do".
-
Definitely - despite Shearer's and Bellamy's best efforts. The thing that brought the original point to mind was remembering a game against Liverpool in about 85 - I remember John Bailey retrieving the ball from the crowd and tossing it in a friendly manner to Steve Nichol to take a throw and him launching the ball straight back over Bailey to a Liverpool player who went down the line and crossed for a goal - typical of that 80s team.
