  1. I think that was more to do with several media sources reporting on deadline day rather than the Milner sale itself.
  2. I don't criticise them for the players they signed (though the deadline day ones look iffy), I criticise them for the one they didn't sign. I don't mean specific ones, just numbers as LM alludes to perfectly.
  3. I might go - its ages since I went to an FA cup game on 3rd round day - I think Yeading was the last one - and I was already looking forward to going to Hull in the league - I'd expect a good turnout.

Agree to a point but that little lay-off to Viduka nearly won us the game. I'd have taken Jonas off.

If the fuckers hadn't beaten us I reckon half of them would have topped themselves by now.

Going a bit too Allardyce for me - last week being an obvious exception I don't think a 0-0 at Boro is that great. Positives: defence and Viduka. Negatives: Lack of midfield creativity/ambition, another poor game for Jonas.
  7. It's not so much the Kinnear thing - (though I think only one good performance/result is that worthy of praise (Villa)) - its the fact it confirms the lack of sale and all that entails. Players will be sold in January, none will be bought and all those whose contracts are expiring will at best stay until may before leaving (as opposed to at least a chance of them staying with new owners).
  8. Combine that with sales in January replaced by shit loan signings and I fear for our status.
  9. I'm sure we've done this before but never mind - I'm a software developer in a German investment bank.
  10. In more positive times I can remember the game we won 1-0 at Arsenal at the end of 96-97 - obviously we had a good team but that game gave me hope that Dalglish's more "practical" tactics would bear fruit with Keegan's team and that day we didn't exactly play for a draw but you could say we played for a 1-0 once we scored - unforunately he decided to dismantle the team.
  11. At the match and same reaction - when you have a shit team sometimes a backs against the wall against a good team (or something like the infamous Derby game in 91) can be more enjoyable than a stroll. It's about everyone standing together raising massive V's to the world. As others have said, playing like that at Wigan etc (see Allardyce) is unacceptable.
  12. Of course, but theres no reason to distrust the man or to not take his side in any dispute - its obvious he always had and continues to have the best interests of the club at heart. [/N-O LickSpiittels]
  13. A lad at work has sold his house this week - he had to take about 20% less than he originally wanted due to market conditions. That's how the world is - the fat cunt should wake up sharpish and fuck off.
  14. Just got in - felt like a victory. We rode our luck and they had an off day but I still thought we battled well and deserved it. I think Chelsea have a team of good players (obviously) but they don't quite know how to dig something out when things aren't going their way. I'd still love to see somoene snap Joe Cheat's leg though. On individual performances everyone battled well but hats off the Enrique who did well after I slagged him off for the Fulham performance. One thing I will say is that its obvious looking at their fans that they have a lot of old school fans from the old days but at the same time they have an awful lot of football tourist cunts who have absolutely no clue how to support a team when they need it. This one was for you you fucking Lovejoyesque scum.
  15. So Stevie and LM do you honestly think it would be okay to use the N word if you were in a mixed group with black lads? Is that political correctness, being a fanny or just being a normal decent person?
  16. You just don't get it do you? Have people from Newcastle ever owned Mackems as slaves? Have they murdered them by the thousand? Have they stolen their land? Have they prevented them from working or travelling? Have they stopped them from marrying who they want? Equating foorball rivalry with racism is absolutely ridiculous to an incredible degree.
  17. Now I know the North East is generally pretty "white" apart from a few areas and is generally not like a lot of other urban areas in the UK but Essex outside the M25 makes the North East look like Leicester in immigration terms. The man is obviously blind.
  18. Not 4 times but 5.9% of UK citizens attend some kind of religious service more than once a month according to the last census. Do those "hardcore" believers have more say than they should for that percentage? - I think they do.
  19. I remember a line from Spin City ages ago where they were discussing positive discrimination/PC Correctness etc and one bloke says "I'm white and middle class - who speaks for me" to which the reply was "Congress" - not really that funny but very true.
  20. If the police had an offical policy to recruit minorities I'd support it - its a way of building trust and their make-up does not reflect the community they police at present. As Alex and I have argued the notion that people are being overlooked in all walks of life is complete nonsense
  21. Honestly can't say I feel like a second class citizen. As a white Englishman, I knoooooow I'm a second class citizen. Danny B highlighted it perfectly here.... He also ignored my reply that I work in the city as he claims to do and there are virtually no non-white workers within miles of the place (except the cleaners of course).
  22. I said this replying to Danny earlier - none of the top jobs in public service or big business are held by minorities. I would have said council's have a rep for being too pro-active but if you say otherwise then that's another one - I did know a lad a few years ago though who was Southwark's council's favourite son as he was Irish, gay and had a black boyfriend. In some ways immigrants can;t win - if you say unemployment among Asians in say Lancashire is above average then they're scroungers, if it was lower then they're taking "white" jobs.
  23. The bloke with the "behead those who insult Islam" poster did get 6 years like. How do you think you are treated as a second class citizen - honest question?
  24. Only 17 members in the whole of Chelmsford - not bad - don't know anyone.
  25. That's fine by me if they still went to the Metro centre or maybe the match or for a meal in town. I'm sure that some do but as I say having their own schools, rarely marrying outside their group and erecting a sort of fence around them is wrong imo. No need to have a pop at the Jews like that. The thing is I have great admiration for Jewish pride in their culture and their loyalty to thatr notion but at the same time looking back on history I think their "insistence" on living seperately has done them no favours when it comes to the obvious persecution. I realise on some occasions they won't have had a choice of course.
