  1. I still think people want to be positive about politics but I think they're in for a shock during the upcoming campaign - I think a lot of people have lost any remaining reverence and respect for politicians which will mean some harsh doorstep chats.
  2. Virgin Media XXL (the 50Mb one) is unlimited as far as I can tell - I used to get throttled on the 20Mb but not since the upgrade.
  3. Anybody else think on seeing the handball in the first minute that West Brom would have that given their "luck" with pens lately? - though I didn't expect anything of that areshole of a ref and I was proved right on that. The rest was just what we've come to expect - good spirit but still prone to being out-fought by shite.
  4. The thing that got me about that game is that they's been to Old Trafford on the Monday before and had laid down and died like the scabby cunts they were/are but when that twat scored and at the end their fans celebrated like they'd won the european cup again. See also Blackburn fans - Manc loving cunts the pair of them. And add the scouse cunts to the celebration thing as well - hate Man Utd my arse. (Yes I am quite bitter). Me too Didn't Forest lose about 6-0 in the game you're on about. I stopped watching before the end in truth. And aye, the fans of all those sides gloated like fuck even though they'd basically handed the title to a team they supposedly despised. We were just on about Graham Fenton last night as well. Thinking about that we were just fated not to win it that year. I accept the lack of experience as mentioned above but I've always just put it down overall to a bit of bad luck. I really don't like people trying to blame Asprilla and Batty though. That fat cunt with the glasses of the Woolnough show was always the worst saying Keegan dropped Gillespie for Asprilla - no you stupid twat- Gillespie was put out of action for months by a disgracefully unpunished tackle by Gary Neville at xmas but don't let the facts get in the way of your anti-Keegan shite.

  6. Every week they seemed to sneak a 1-0, and every week Schemeichel had a blinder and Cantona scored. Was like watching your own death in slow motion. Aye, them two were unbelievable at the end of that season. Cantona had just come back from his long ban for twatting that fan at Crystal Palace as well. If you take the season as two halves of 19 (which that season took us to mid December) in the first half of the season we took 45 from 57 points available. Man Utd took 35 from 57 in that time. In the second half of the season we took 33 from 57, Man Utd took 47 from 57. Basically, we failed to sustain the challenge. Sadly, we actually maintained the challenge until mid Feb, which coincided with Man Utd constantly playing before us and winning, and then the pressure always on us to win our games in hand. Even at the end, they’d played 37 games to our 35. We started well and faded badly; they started well and chased us down well. It really is a combination of them playing extremely well and us bottling it slightly (being inexperienced/naive). The fact that 4 of our last 6 away games were Arsenal, Liverpool, Blackburn and Leeds was a factor as well. I also think if the Forest game hadn't been postponed and had been played in January with less pressure, we'd have beaten them which would have taken it to the last day in a better way all else being equal.
  7. Every week they seemed to sneak a 1-0, and every week Schemeichel had a blinder and Cantona scored. Was like watching your own death in slow motion. I listened to them play QPR where he equalised and it was after 5 o clock - I was livid.
  8. If its such a Christian country do you expect them to convert? each to their own, so long as they don't preach to me, understand and stick to what is right and wrong ie the laws of the country and respect others, try to work hard for a living if they are healthy and fit enough, are not here illegally, pay their taxes, speak the language and don't abuse the flag and those who defend it. I've probably missed some things but I'm sure you get the drift. As we keep saying that covers 99% of immigrants.
  9. If its such a Christian country do you expect them to convert?
  10. I know there are lots of allegations surrounding their actions but I think the one where they wouldn't pay what was for them pennies for a child minding service was pretty unchallenged. There was also the one where they had done the same the night before and Maddy had cried which was iffy.
  11. Non-personal Bill Hicks and Einstein.
  12. ^^^ Confirms Renton's diagnosis of mass mental illness on the board. When travelling to Deby in 1982 by special train, me and 3 mates cut a pack of cards to see who would be dealer for poker. We all drew aces - statiscally mind-boggling and probably guarantees no lottery wins for any of us for life.
  13. What do you mean by protest? - run out into the streets and start punching anybody a bit Asian looking (including in your ignorance the likely Sikhs and Hindus this would include). If it all goes tits up in NI and we see a return to IRA bombs would you want to deport/intern Irishmen? No - I'm very much anti-religious privilege in anything but the cats out of the bag on this one - Jews already have similar schemes to what Williams was talking about for civil disputes but this is what happens when you give religions any kind of respect in law. It's perfectly natural for any of them to say well if Christians or Jews have privileges then we should - Hindus and Sikhs have done this in recent years and they all have a point. Before you say but this is a Christian country remember only something like 4% (and decreasing) of "Christians" attend churches which is actually less of a percentage than some other minorities they now have the legal right to discriminate against like gays - so much for democracy.
  14. I don't need to. The muslim population of the UK will continue to expand, naturally along with it's influence. So where do YOU think it will all logically end ? Or is your head so deep in the sand, you don't do logic ? Edit. The deluded left wing do gooders will lap up Rown Williams lunacy, they share his naive view of human nature. I hate to spring knowledge on you but a population of 2% cannot grow to say 50% of 60 million without every Muslim woman having about 50 kids and it would still take hundreds of years. They have virtually no influence now apart from in your mind and won't ever have.
  15. I can't see how a car being driven at snails pace through a crowd could break a leg like.
  16. Rowan Williams is/was tyring to protect his own brand of fuckwitted lunacy and used scare tactics which people like you lap up. You never did respond to the links which show your shite about the population of Muslims reaching within a million miles of some critical point was bullshit.
  17. I was toying with the idea that we could almost be promoted by beating Forest if results went that way beforehand but they have two pretty easy home games on Saturday/Wednesday - Peterborough/Palace I think. (Of course it would mean us winning two away games which isn't exactly probable).
  18. I think this gioes back to the question of is Ashley a good businessman or someone who ripped off the city with his share sale? It's probably the case that he was a reasonable businessman who got a bit lucky with SD due to timing - a bit like Hall and NUFC.
  19. Great voice, shit music. I've always thought it a shame more black female vocalists haven't tried rock - as evidenced by Skunk Anansie the results can be well worthwhile.
  20. Always makes me think of Hereford.
  21. He was always on my list of players who scoring against us should result in the team not being paid (see Ian Marshall, Dion Dublin etc, etc) but I don't really despise him now.
  22. Quite a few season back in a Newcastle vs Liverpool match Lee Bowyer made a pretty ordinary tackle, nothing malicious but a bad tackle nonetheless. I think the tackle was on Gerrard. Anyway Crouch came charging in from elsewhere on the field and shoved Lee Bowyer in the back, and carried on like a right tit. In the same instance as well Gerrard had his hands around Shearer's throat from behind. Neither Gerrard nor Crouch were penalised in any way for their actions. Of course Lee Bowyer was, because, well, he's Lee Bowyer. Top grudging - and spot on.
  23. It was Howard Webb - I'd add Bennet, D'Arso and I think it was Barry Knight who let that GBH on Bernard go at Everton that time.
  24. Definitely - celebrating a goal against us is a capital crime. That's a whole sub genre - for example that's why I regard Imre Varadi so highly - for not celebrating when scoring against us for Sheff Wed.
  25. Another to add from the memory stirred in the other thread - Bobby Charlton - consumate Manc Cunt.
